The children in Early Years were very excited to learn about our new dinosaur topic. After finding some dinosaur eggs, the children made nests by moulding clay and adding feathers and sticks. Now the eggs will be nice and safe!
Early years excelled themselves with their performance of ‘Jesus’ Christmas Party’. We couldn’t be prouder! Where’s the stable again?
Children in Apollo Class had a magical time in forest school, finding a tiny fairy house and many other fairy sized objects. Don’t worry Vulcan Class, it’s your turn next term!
Both classes in Reception received a letter this week from Jack (Jack and the beanstalk). The children were very excited to find out that we have been given some magic beans to plant. There were lots of ideas about what the beans will grow into, from unicorns to lollipops. All will soon be revealed…
We want to say a big thank you to all the parents who came to celebrate our ‘One year on’ milestone. It was a pleasure to see the grown ups getting stuck in with the activities and acting out the stories on ‘Now Press Play’. There was also some pretty spectacular dancing going on too!
Last week the children had a magical story telling experience lead by The Freshwater Theatre Group. The children took part in finding clues and acting out some well known fairytales, such as, Jack and the beanstalk, The Gingerbread Man and The Ugly Duckling. At the end the children recorded scary noises and movements to create a spooky forest.
