Details of the national curriculum tests (SATs) children in year 2 will sit throughout May.
Chariot class took part in GLEEASTANGLIA at the Corn Exchange in Ipswich on Thursday. They were the youngest choir to take part and performed in front of 250 children from other REAch2 schools and Sir Steve Lancashire! They have worked so hard over the last few months to perfect challenging songs and on the day they were absolutely amazing. Well done Chariot class!
This term our theme is ‘Shiver Me Timbers’ and straight away the children began exploring the exciting things in the classroom and decided to do some role-play around the new theme. They also used the ship as a reading area and enjoyed hunting for gold coins and treasure!
This term, Chariot class have been working on the exciting theme of Happily Ever After. We have read lots of different fairy tales, learnt and performed The Three Little Pigs story and written our own versions, and accounts of this traditional tale. We have also built the homes of Three Little Pigs and through the wonders of science, got the big bad wolf to blow them down!
We have become artists and scientists and learnt about the woodland; observing and drawing different leaves, trees and woodland creatures. We have enjoyed lots of outdoor maths activities; ordering sticks, partitioning numbers on the playground and buying objects from our shop! We will be moving onto making a woodland crown, writing a story about a mysterious woodland and many more fun, and imaginative activities, throughout the term.
